Road Safety is taken very seriously at Kew College as we are surrounded by some very busy roads. Every year, two Year 5 students are elected by their peers and teachers to be our Junior Road Safety Officers. Working with the Safety Officers from the London Borough of Richmond and supported by a member of staff, their role is to promote an interest and awareness in Road Safety to all age groups in the school. They hold assemblies, run competitions and disseminate information via a dedicated noticeboard.

In the summer term, all children in the Infant House participate in Scooter Training and Year 3 children have Pedestrian Training. Cycle Training is held for Year 5 in the Spring Term, followed up with an additional week when the pupils are in Year 6.

We are delighted to announce that their peers have voted Laila A and Oscar R as their Junior Road Safety Officers for 2015-2016.
