Thursday saw yet another spectacular Sports Day; the sun smiled on us all and the event went off extremely smoothly and happily, leaving children, staff and Parents in the highest spirits. From the opening 'Tug of War' to the nail-biting relay at the end, the children launched themselves into their races with great enthusiasm and good sportsmanship. The Sports Day Cup was one of the closest races in years, with Condor emerging sweaty but triumphant- a mere one point separating them from Eagle at final counting! The hotly - contested House Relay was won by Osprey, roared over the line by what seemed like hundreds of cheering spectators. Many congratulations to all the children, staff and parents involved and a special thank you to Governor Aylsa Geeson for attending and to Chair of Governor Sue Ouseley for helping to keep the scores with tremendous precision. We are fortunate to have governors who take such a keen interest in the school and its pupils. Our particular vote of thanks goes to Mrs Tabor, who organised the whole event so efficiently that it all ran like clockwork and ensuring that there were enough competitive and fun events to suit everyone. Well done too to those game parents and staff members who took part in the numerous races to the hilarity of the children.
